I was directed to this site from another one. I want a tattoo of either "It is with my own wings that I fly" or "I fly with wings of my own". They both are what I want to say, it will probably just come down to what the phrase looks like!

It is with my own wings that I fly-
Tá sé le sciatháin de mo chuid féin mé go eitilt
Tá sé le mo sciatháin féin go bhfuil mé ag eitilt
Tá sé le mo sciatháin féin go eitilt i
'Sé le mo sciatháin féin a eitlím

I fly with my own wings-
Eitilt mé le sciatháin de mo chuid féin
Eitlím le mo sciatháin féin

Please help!! I am now completely confused!! And hoping to get the right translation. Thank you in advance for your help!!

For the first, I'd lean toward Is le mo sciatháin féin a eitlím.

For the second, Eitlím le mo sciatháin féin.

Wait for more input, please.

These were my thoughts also.

I second these translations.

However if you prefer Ulster Irish, you'd use "eiteogaí" instead of "sciatháin" (which means "arms" in Ulster):

Is le m'eiteogaí féin a eitleam.

Eitleam le m'eiteogaí féin.

I have to ad that you're just creating more confusion for yourself by posting the same request in multiple places. Only two people are currently offering translations at IGTF, so you can't get a confirmed translation there. Those same people, as well as all the former members of IGTF, are now posting in this forum. If you want confirmed results, you'd do best to keep it here.

You currently have three in agreement, which is what we recommend, on these:

Is le mo sciatháin féin a eitlím

Eitlím le mo sciatháin féin

As well as an Ulster variant offered by Lughaidh:

Is le m'eiteogaí féin a eitleam.

Eitleam le m'eiteogaí féin.

If you want, we can explain to you what's wrong with the others you have.

Thanks Redwolf and all! I started on IGTF because that was the only forum that came up when I did a Google search. It was automated type translators that kept giving me the different translations. That is why I was looking for a forum, for actual human confirmation! Gumbi on IGTF told me about this forum, that most of the member from there are over here now. So that is how I made it over here!

No need to tell me what was wrong with the others, they were from the automated translators.

Thank you all for helping out here!
I will be visiting here often now. I like the phrases for St Paddy's day with the audio! Read the thread that a phrase of the day may be in the works?? I know that it's a lot of work to do something like that, but that would so great. I am not familiar Irish at all, but after visiting Ireland this year have become very interested and really want to learn more.

Thanks again all of you for your help!
