Hello all,

Looking to get a tattoo in either Gaelic or Irish which ever has an easier translation for the quote Id like to get....

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results."

Thanks so much for your help in advance :)

Here are the two translations I have gotten from another source already.

"Is ionann an rud céanna dhéanamh 's a dhéanamh agus gealtacht" or

Is ionann an Gealtacht agus an rud céanna a dhéanamh aríst is aríst eile agus duit ' bheith sg tnúth le torthaí dhifriúla.

you seem to have copied mine down wrong- Is ionann an Gealtacht agus an rud céanna a dhéanamh aríst is aríst eile agus duit ' bheith ag tnúth le torthaí dhifriúla

I would go with the first one I gave you on the other site though:

Gealtacht is ea an rud céanna a dhéanamh aríst is arís eile agus duit ' bheith ag tnúth le torthaí dhifriúla.

- you could posibly leave out duit in the one above

Wait for others to reply though!

Cad is "gealtacht" ann ach an rud ceannann céanna a dhéanamh arís is arís eile ag iarraidh toraidh difriúil a bhaint as?

My "specialty" is Connemara Irish, particularly Cois Fhairrge dialect, but I can also speak Ulster and Munster Irish with native-level pronunciation.
Is fearr Gaeilge ḃriste ná Béarla cliste, cinnte, aċ i ḃfad níos fearr aríst í Gaeilge ḃinn ḃeo na nGaeltaċtaí.
Gaeilge Chonnacht (GC), go háraid Gaeilge Chois Fhairrge (GCF), Gaeilic Uladh (GU), Gaelainn na Mumhan (GM), agus Gaeilge an Chaighdeáin Oifigiúil (CO).

Is it not ag iarraidh toraidh?- tuiseal ginideach after ing- e.g. ag tuilleadh/ ag tuilleamh airgid, ag cur fearthainne, ag cur báistí srl...
