I just posted a link to a website which has some simple games for learning basic vocab. I posted it in the 'useful links' section which I think is the best place for it as it's great to find centralised resources etc. However, I am wondering if I should also post in the main forum. It will slide fairly quickly which is fine if it's in the 'useful links' section, but it may draw more attention in the main forum.

What does anyone think? We usually do not want duplicate threads which I fully understand - separate posts about the same topic etc. Is this the same situation or different?

After all this, I may as well put the aforementioned link so that you have an idea of the type of post I am talking about!

I don't mind what the result is, but I'd just like to do what makes most sense.

I think it makes sense to post it in both places. It's not quite the same thing as starting multiple threads for a translation request.

Hasn't this been posted already? I seem to remember it somewhere here, but I'm also under the impression that since this forum was re-organised, various posts seemed to have disappeared - or is it just me imagining it?

I don't know Franc, but it is exactly the kind of link that you or I would post!

To the best of my knowledge no posts were lost. I just moved them all to the main forum, then moved a few back to "useful links".

However, we had to search through the main forum to find the links, so some of them may simply still be in the main forum somewhere.

As for posting in the "Naisc Úsáideacha - Useful Links" section I think we might need a moderators discussion about this first.
