Okay, I'm going to try sticking to just three forums:
Fóram na bhFoghlaimeoirí - Learners' Forum
A' Ghàidhlig - Gaeilge na hAlban - Scottish Gaelic
Naisc Úsáideacha - Useful Links
I think we can basically do everything we used to do at IGTF in the Learners' Forum. I thought it better to keep a separate Scottish Gaelic forum to promote the sister language as well as set it apart. If it attracts its own userbase all the better.
I put a
Gaeilge Amháin forum up but it started to look cluttered again. I feel that there are better forums out there specifically aimed at using Irish only like Fóram na Gaeilge and Gaeilge Amháin. Can we not just have threads marked with "GA:" like we did at IGTF?
I'm also wondering if we should not make
Naisc Úsáideacha a locked section that only the mods can post to so that it is information only and people can PM suggestions to us.
Maybe one day we might add "Frequently Requested Translations" to
Rudaí Eile, for example, in a similar manner but for now I think these three are sufficient.
People who only want to see ILF forum in the same way we had IGTF should bookmark the following link:
viewforum.php?f=28This will have all activities in one area - minus the Scottish Gaelic requests, which will now have their own forum.
Keep the suggestions and feedback coming and I will aim to improve the site in a way that suits a majority of users.
