Hello everyone, I've had a quotation translated and I'm interested in some opinions on how it sounds in Irish or ideas if you have any for modifications. The quote and translations I have are these:

English: "When a man is faced with his own death, he finds the impossible less of a barrier."
Irish 1: "I bhfianaise do bháis féin is beag bac nach sárófá."
Irish 2: "I bhfianaise do bháis féin is beag bac duit an focal mór úd ‘dodhéanta’."

I appreciate the job my translator did very much but I'm just looking for additional opinions and observations (or modifications/corrections if they are fit).

I like your translator, too. (s)he has a similar style to my own, where the syntax of the original is completely disregarded to avoid any contamination by English

If it is helpful, I will provide literal translations of each:

1: "In the presence of your own death, there are few inhibitions you would not overcome."
2: "In the presence of your own death, that big word "impossible" is a poor inhibition."

To me they suggest the meaning that "when the other choice is death, you are willing to do things you wouldn't otherwise"
