Are Kathryn and Brendan the people to whom these are addressed, or are they the people expressing the sentiment? It may sound like an odd thing to ask, but it actually does make a difference to the translation.

I'm guessing from the construction that Brendan is the recipient of the sentiment, but it's less clear with Kathryn, so I just want to be clear on that before translating that one.

For the second one, assuming that this is being expressed TO Brendan, I'd say:

Do mo mhac ionúin: Brendan

If you want an Irish spelling for "Brendan," it's "Breandán" (pronounced roughly "BRAN-dahn")

Does Kathryn want it to sound as if she's addressing you (I'm assuming you're the eternal love here), or as if she's talking about you. Believe it or not, that makes a difference to the translation as well.

I think in that case, I'd go with something like:

Buanghrá, Kathryn

The Irish form of the name "Kathryn" is "Caitríona" (pronounced more or less the same as "Katrina", but with a bare-ly there extra syllable: "kuh-TREE-un-uh"), if you want to go that route. I usually don't recommend going with Irish name forms, though, unless the person named likes it or has requested it.

Do wait for more input. For an engraving, we always recommend at least three in agreement before proceeding.
