I wouldn't use "anuas" in that context. I can't explain the grammatical reason.

Níl ann ach tusa - It is only you there. I'm not sure about that. It can have a positive and negative meaning, depending on how an individual interprets it. Wait for more to comment on it.

Given your Belfast connection, I'd just mention that 'fós' isn't really used in Ulster Irish though of course it would be perfectly understood. It would instead be "Is tú mo ghrá go fóill". Same meaning though.



What would the negative meaning be, Bríd?

I'm unable to put up the links, but on this forum on Feb 7 2014 fiairefeadha gave "Níl ann ach tusa (there's only you)" as a translation of "You and no other" for a wedding ring. And on April 23 2009 on the old forum Braoin translated "(If I can choose,) it's only you (I want)" as "níl ann ach tú".
