Does anyone know of a link to a translation of the Dies Irae into Irish? I'm finding plenty of references mentioning that it's been translated into Irish, but not the actual translation.

If it's any help, this is the verse I'm looking for. I need to see if there's some kind of "official" or definitive Irish version (I already have a grammatically correct translation, but I need to compare it, if possible, to a more definitive version:

Confutatis maledictis,
Flammis acribus addictis:
Voca me cum benedictis.

Those of you who remember the old IGTF days may remember the first and last line of this as one of the "Boondock Saints" quotes we were often asked for "When the wicked stand confounded/Call me with thy saints surrounded."

Féach:
Léirmheas The Spiritual Rose. Edited by Malachy McKenna. Dublin Institute
for Advanced Studies. 2001

http://www.nui.ie/eigse/pdf/vol34/eigse34.pdf
p. 198-..., esp. p. 210-211:

Quote:
Stanza 16 in the Latin reads:
Confutatis maledictis
flammis acribus addictis,
voca me cum benedictis.

Callan’s text reads:
An tan do bheidh aig gul ’s aig eagchion
Lucht na mallacht air gach taoibh dhiom
Orduibh mise a measg do rochlion.

This McKenna normalises:
An tan do bheidh ag gul is ag éagcaoine
Lucht na mallacht air gach taoibh dhíom,
Ordaigh mise i measc do rochlann.

How would you translate "rochlann"?

I read more closely in that text you linked me to, and apparently we're not the only ones who found it puzzling. One person modernized it as "ró-chlann," which the writer points out doesn't make a great deal of sense (and doesn't fit the meter). The writer suggested the "ro" might actually be "rogha." Interesting.
