I'm looking for someone who can help me verify the spelling of a Gaelic saying that I'd like to get a tattoo of. The saying I'm looking for is "There's not a wise man without fault", and I've seen a couple different spellings for it so I was hoping someone could verify one for me.
Níl saoi gan locht.
Ní bhíonn saoi gan locht.
Thanks.
The first of the above translates to English as "
A wise person is not without fault." It makes the same idiomatic sense as the latter, however, the latter is the idiom as far as I'm aware. It translates as "
There is not a wise person without fault".
Ní bhíonn saoi gan locht appears in the Collins Irish dictionary app as an example for the word
saoi.
