We have a group that has been together for about 13 years. It has gone by many names and most recently has been DivinusNatura - because our group used the latin terms for the flora and fauna . However we have been incorporating more studies that are Celtic in nature and working with some Irish myths and history. We had been thinking about finding a similar name but in Gaelic.
From what I know, an Nadur would apply to nature, and an Spiorad would apply to Spirit.
If I wanted to have it as 'Earth and Spirit' would I use An Nadur agus an Spiorad? Would the 'an' be dropped?


I do plan on properly studying the language on my own as it has always perplexed me and I might almost be up for the challenge

There are several words one can use for world/earth/ground etc., some fitting better than others into certain contexts. Since you're emphasizing the physical earth (I think), I suggest this, and I don't see a particular need for the definite articles in this case:
Talamh agus Spiorad
or, abbreviating the word "and", which is often done:
Talamh 's Spiorad

Thank you, that is very helpful. Some of the people feel that we should incorporate more of our natural surroundings. We live in an area with a major river, and someone suggested The River Land (circle, fellowship, grove, etc )
Would Talamh work in that context also? or would some something along the lines of Tir na Abhainn - in whatever manner the language rules are, work better? - if this is too far off topic, I can repost.

Tír na hAbhann is what you'd want for that.

Thank you. Would hAbhann still be pronounced similarily to Abhainn? From what I have listened to it sounds similar to OWn (with ow as in cow)
