Just how useful....

Ba mhaith liom "I don't know yet how useful they are" a rá.

My best attempt is " Níl a fhios agam fós cé chomh úsáideach atá siad."

Any thoughts?

I think that can work. I was going to suggest something very similar (but putting the fós at the end). When I say it in speech, however, I say "...is atá siad" (is as in agus) not "...atá siad". I'm not sure if this is necessary or not. Maybe it's wrong altogether :razz:

Is amhlaidh a bhí mé ag smaoineamh a Ghumbi. Is minic a fheicim "...is atá" agus mé ag léamh nó ag cloisteáil leis an raidió. Wasn't sure if it was necessary. Go raibh maith agat :good:

It is necessary, indeed.

Either:
cé chomh … le (noun/pronoun)
or
cé chomh … agus/is (relative clause)

cé chomh úsáideach leo
cé chomh úsáideach is atá siad

But perhaps I'd prefer:

cén úsaíd atá leo
or
cén úsáid atá le baint astu. / a bhaintí astu

I was thinking something even more different from the English like perhaps
Ní léir é go fóill an mór an úsáid a bhainfear astu

but I always tend to err on the side of too creative with these things lol
