Just curious. There doesn't seem to be any citation.

There are mistakes in it (of course).

Is mise willow. Tá mé i mo chónaí i Baile Átha Cliath. Tá trí cat agam agus dha seilidí. Is breá liom marcaíocht capall agus is maith liom spórt. Tá gruaige donn fada agam agus ta mo shúile donna. Téim go dtí an snamha linn agus théann mé go dtí scóile i "N.D.N.S.P". Tá aon deirfiúr agam agus is mise an duine is óige. Go raibh maith agat, slan.

Mar is gnách. "Níl mórán Gaeilg agam ach tá mé 'gabháil a scríobh leabhar foghlamtha mar sin féin. Foghlaimeochaidh mise an teangaidh níos moille."

Dochreidte, ach fíor (tchíthear a leithéidí sin fosta leis an Bhriotáinis, ar ndóighe: múinteoirí Briotáinise nach bhfuil ábalta abairt cheart ar bith a ráidht ná a scríobh srl...)

Yep. That's one of the reasons I asked. People share these things, and defend them, and the person who put it together isn't even willing to put his or her name behind it. That bothers me. Actually, it infuriates me. And then when you point these things out you get "well, at least they're doing something!" Grrr..

Well, it's a Wiki. It's easy to change. I (and someone else) did.

Yes, but the people who set it up can also change it back.

Language learning by consensus is a dodgy proposition. How many people internalized the mistakes before they were corrected? This is one of my primary objections to Duolingo as well. It might be one thing if there were no good learning materials out there, but that's not the case.

Yes. That's a problem of all wikis. They work well as long as there's a large community to maintain the articles. (e.g. Wikipedia in major languages)
But what if it tails off?

The introductory pages on Irish (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Irish) were written or worked on by people like Mhwombat, Panu Höglund or Angr - people having good knowlege in Irish AFAIK (https://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?ti ... on=history). So, readers may expect the same quality level in all other and later contributions, too.
Someone ("Dalta~enwikibooks") added those lessons. At first glance not a so bad idea even for a learner (docendi discimus) in case there are enough co-workers to monitor him. But unfortunately there aren't anymore. He himself has been inactive since 2009. Only minor changes by anonymous contributors have occured since.
