I have Irish in my heritage and want to show my pride by getting an Irish Celtic Trinity Knot Tattoo in a few weeks - want to get 3 words around it in Irish:
Love
Family
Faith

The translations that I have for them are:
Love = Is Brea
Family = teaghlach
Faith = creideamh

I have also found another translation for love to be "gra"... Not sure if these were right - if anyone could give me some help (before I put these on my body permanently)...? Thank you all in advance

Teaghlach = family*, as in the imediate household
Creideamh = faith

Irish differentiates in what is meant by family; there is also: Muintir = extended family and friends; and clann = progeny or children..

It depends on what you mean by 'family'.

-For "Love" , it looks like I will just use "Gra".
-For "Family" I was looking for immediate family (wife and kids in the household primarily) as well as extended family outside the household if there is such a word that includes all?

Last question, should all 3 words be capitalized? I think so, but just checking to see what is right per Irish proper language?.

The word "muintir" is what you want for the meaning you intend, and I can second the other two items as well, including the noun "grá" for "love".
As to the capitalization, it's entirely up to you, since all three words can be used with or without capitalization in this case.

In case you were wondering, the "is breá" which you found was part of a phrase taken out of context. One can say "Is breá liom é" to mean "I like/love it", but the "is breá" does not mean "love" by itself, nor can it stand alone in any case.

If you mean "faith as in religious belief," then "creideamh" is what you want.

If you mean "faith" as in "fidelity/loyalty," you want "dílseacht"

If you mean "faith" as in "trust," you want "muinín"
