Accents in table field names works in access 2013 and 2010. What error are you getting?

I don't really remember what it said, invalid syntax, or invalid string, maybe? But I must have been doing something wrong. It actually does accept accents in 2013. But I was doing it at work, and God only knows what version it was (most of our programs are antiquated....and sometimes tweaked). I tried it at home on 2013 and no issues. So on with the list of subdialects still in use.

All that is a bit much. I'm not doing an in-depth study on the matter, and most of that is beyond me. I am a mere beginner. I'm only looking for word differences, sort of like headwords in a dictionary. The grammatical changes (eclipses and the like) won't really be a part of it. Although I will include a field for notes, even a memo field has a character limit. I keep extensive grammar notes and the like in OneNote.

Am I making any sense as to what I'm trying to do?

Thanks again for everyone's assistance!

No, not really. The list it only to give examples of difference, but I can really get exactly what you want.

Do you want the same word in English in different forms? ('Also', for example as 'fosta', 'san áireamh', 'leis' etc)

Yes, exactly! For example, I notice that Lughaidh uses "cha" as the negative particle, so I assume that's an Ulster thing. And Cian uses "thá" instead of "tá" and "chón maith instead of "chomh maith" so a Déise thing. I want to create a table of such word differences across the dialects/subdialects.

Make sense now?

Yes, I had seen that a couple of years ago, and forgotten all about it! :GRMA:
