I have two questions, both pertaining to translation for tattoos.

I am Irish (although born on Long Island and never taught Gaelic) and want both of the tattoos for my parents to be in Gaellic. I have a tattoo for my father that says "Ta gra agum duit" already. The plan s to get a matching one (sort of) for my mother. I would like it to say something like "unconditionally and eternally." I can't figure out a proper translation, though.

Would it be something like "neamhchoinníollach agus go síoraí?"
Is there a better option?

Also, my best friend loves Iris Gaelic and thinks it is a beautiful language. Therefor she wants our tattoos for each other to be written in the language. I want it to say something like, "May this friendship follow you through this life and into the next"

After some thought and studying, I have found the translation for most of those words, but I am unsure how to properly put it together. I came up with something like, "Go ár cairdeas tu fanacht le seo saol agus an chéad cheann." However, I'm not confident that the words are correct and I am positive the grammar and such is wrong.

In short, I need the closest Irish translations for "Unconditionally and eternally" and "May our friendship stay with us through this life and into the next."

I think I figured out the phrase for my mother.

"Go deo gan choinioll"

If you see a problem there, please let me know.

Go deo 's gan choinníoll [enlarged so that you can see the accent over the second "i" in the last word]
Forever and unconditionally
Forever and without condition(s)

The added 's [that's an apostrophe followed by the letter "s"] in the middle is a shortened form of the word for "and". You can also use agus or is, but I used the shortest form, given that you probably have space concerns (and it scans better, I think).

There are various ways to approach this in Irish, so here's a suggestion to start with, but wait for others to chime in with corrections or other suggestions (we recommend getting at least 3 people to agree before any tattoo is inked):

Go bhfana an cairdeas seo leat ar feadh do shaoil agus amach insan saol seo chugainn
May this friendship remain with you throughout your life and into the next life

Thanks. As for the tattoo for my father, it is written with the accents. I just didn't type it that way.

No, the grammar is all garbled in that sentence (especially the verbs), and I'm not sure how best to fix it. Best to wait for others to chime in.
