I think either would do,

Rinne/shocraigh siad cleamhnas le hiníon fir uasail dó...

but also maybe...

Chuir siad é (a mac) i gcrích ar iníon fir uasail….
They married him (their son) off to a nobleman's daughter....

not sure of the preposition - ar or le, or something else?

And he ate a lovely meal again
and after the meal, they were sitting by the fire talking
and as is the way with the women, they do ask questions.

1- i ndiaidh an bhéile (= genitive); ag caint (without 'e').
2- agus mar is nós leis na mná/mar atá de nós ag na mná

I'm not sure how you express this idea of having something already done. Here's the context -

.....and she had the breakfast on the table for him. (meaning that she already had it set out or prepared for him)

This is my attempt at it -

...agus bhí an bricfeasta ullmhú aici ar an mbord dó. (rather than - chuir sí an bricfeasta ar an mbord dó)

It should be "ullmhaithe" (participle), not "ullmhú" (verbal noun). It's grand otherwise (though some of us would go for "ar an bhord " - or better still "ar an tábla" .
