I'm trying to get an engraving for my grandfather who lives in county cork. I want it to read "Creation Through Fire" in gaelic but am having some trouble finding the right version of 'creation'.

'through fire' would be 'trí tine' correct?

I then eventually want to translate that to ogham because he loves learning about the runes. But i think i can probably handle that.

Note that the preposition trí causes a pronunciation change known as lenition in the following word (shown by the added "h" in tine). In the older scripts, lenition was indicated by a dot over the lenited consonant, and that would happen in both the first and last words in this case, resulting in:

Cruṫú trí ṫine.

Ogham does not offer a way to show lenition, and it was not (so far as is known) often used to write much other than names and basic wording.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but I would read that as "Creation on fire", (which I think a pretty cool phrase btw.)

Maybe it should be phrased as 'Creation from/out of fire' or something like that.

Yes, it could have that meaning too. It all depends on context, and the intended meaning.
