What would the best Irish equivalent be in the Munster dialect ?

I'm not sure this quite captures it. When I hear "keep up the good work!" I hear "you're doing a great job! Keep doing it just like that!" It's more personal.

Perhaps something simple, such as "Maith an bhean/fear! Lean ort!" would express this better.

No. At least I've never heard it used that way. It's more like "carry on." You could also say "ar aghaidh leat."

Years ago when passing somebody working, like in a field or on the road, you absolutely had to say that. It would be rude otherwise. It's not as common nowadays.

Lean ort - yes, that means "keep going" or "continue".

Lean mé - means "follow me".

Léan ort - I suppose could be used as a swear-word.
