Still thinking about the Scriptures. But what I need to know now is how to say, "You are making me nervous," for another spot.

A girl saying to a boy who doesn't speak Gaelic. She is afraid. Thanks!

An Bíobla Naofa is available free on-line...if you can think of a Biblical quote you like, we can get it for you (I don't recommend doing it yourself, as the wording in the Irish Bible is somewhat different from many English translations).

A love quote I can think of right off the bat is good old I Corinthians: "Love is patient and kind; it is neither boastful nor rude...".

Okay, let's try these

(1 Corinthians 1:30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

(Colossians 1:14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

(Luke 4:18-19) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Is tríd an Mac sin atá ár bhfuascailt le fáil, is é sin, maithiúnas na bpeacaí.

No mention of "blood" in the Irish, just "through that Son".

(Lúcás 4:18-19)
“Tá Spiorad an Tiarna orm, mar gur choisric le hola mé.
Chuir sé uaidh mé ag tabhairt an dea-scéil do na boicht, §
ag fógairt a scaoilte do bhránna

ag scaoileadh lucht géarbhroide saor;

§The portion "to heal the brokenhearted" does not appear in the Irish.

I could use the Gaelic of Psalm 127:3.

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Also Psalm 147:13.

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

Thanks!

Just confirming those by Caoimhín and adding that the verse numbers are Salm 127:3 and Salm 147:13, respectively, in Irish - with no P on Salm.
