I've copied my most explainy threads over from that other forum. I think I've updated all of the links, but if I missed any, I hope someone will let me know.

While I'm a very explainy wombat, I don't have a monopoly on it. I encourage anyone to post their own explanations -- don't worry that you'll be stepping on my toes. Everyone learns differently, and our explanations may suit different people. And your explanation may help me improve my own. Whenever I'm learning something, I like to read multiple explanations. (That's why I have umpty-jillion grammar books.)
