Yup. When I was wee, it was "fae", and then when I went to high school I discovered "frae" via graffiti on the toilet walls!!

There was some pretentious sod who wrote "God is dead - Nietsche" in several cubicles at the university. The obvious reply soon came back: "Nietsche is dead - God". Eventually, this erudite conversation came to its inevitable conclusion with "You're all dead - the Godfather"....
