Does anybody know how the word bruġ would be pronounced in the Munster dialect, Corca Dhuibhne in particular. After listening to the teanglann recordings, it appears that the speaker pronounces it as something like /brɵh/, but David has it listed as /brog/ on the Cork Irish dictionary. My transcription comes from the Leitiriú Shímplí version of Peadar Ua Laoghaire's Sliabh na mBan bhFionn. Teanglann is not a reliable source of pronunciations, particularly of literary words.

You're definitely right that teanglann is far less reliable than other pronunciation resources/databases. I simply used it as the broadest example as I couldn't find it in any other resource (such as doegen). I'll probably check the recordings of Peig Sayers and her books to see if I can find any instance of it next.
