Just a thought - it seems to me that IrishGaelicTranslator is a very appropriate name as it now refers to the (average of) one translator who is translating over there.

Perhaps when the few that are left realise the injustice of the situation regarding the expulsion of those who gave most to the site, they may decline to offer their services to IGT (It's a Ghost Town).

What is so sad about it is that so much effort and thought has gone into it and that it is such a rich resource - I just hope it doesn't disappear. And of course it's a great pity to lose such important contributors who stand out head and shoulders above the rest of us.

Nobody wanted this to happen, but despite best efforts from a very reliable and loyal crew, it did.

As I see it, we have two options: we can mourn its loss and flounder or work twice as hard and rebuild here.

Ní neart go cur le chéile...

I'm with Saoirse on this, much as it pains me. Really, the only way we could get IGTF back to what it was would be if the new owners not only decided to abandon it, but also took all their ads with them when they went, and I don't think that's likely to happen. There was a time when I thought that maybe they would be willing to work with us to keep the community viable. Ads don't HAVE to be intrusive and inappropriate, after all. But I can't see that happening now...it would take a real good-will gesture on their part, and I don't think they work that way.
