I am trying to surprise my mother with a inscription for a gift. She loves the phrase "One day closer" in reference to building one day closer to your dreams being achieved.
Could I please get some help translating the phrase: One Day Closer

Any help is appreciative! Thank you!!

Maybe: aon lá amháin níos gaire (dhúinn)? I think Labhrás may have a better version. Gaire is pronounced guire (at least in Co. Cork).

I like the first one:

"Lá amháin níos gaire"

That's a nice one, too.

Thank you for all the help!
So my next question would be with all of these different translations... what is the difference between each? Is it different dialects? Sorry for my lack of education with all this.

Not a dialectical issue. Just different ways of expressing the same sentiment, just as one often finds in English.

Lá eile níos gaire
Another day closer.

Lá amháin níos gaire
One day closer.
Technically, the Irish says "only one day closer", but the "only" part in such cases is just an idiomatic usage when counting in Irish, and isn't intended as a literal restriction like "only".
