Hi everyone!!
Me and my father are going to tattoo us the title of a song by Van Morrison (we are huge fan of him), and although I think we know the right translation, just to confirm:
Title in english:
"Listen to the lion"
Title in irish:
"Éist leis an leon"
Are we right, aren't we?
You are.
Though I don't know the song well enough. Dependigng on who should listen:
Éist leis an leon. = Thou, listen to the lion. (1 person addressed)
Éistigí leis an leon. = Ye, listen to the lion. (more than 1 person addressed)
Éistear leis an leon. = Anyone, listen to the lion. (No one specially addressed. But the lion should be listened to)
