i think '' B'fhiú e'' means'' it was worth it''. i also, think it means ''it would be worth it''.

Therefore, I would like to know how to say '' I thought it would have been/would be worth all my trouble/effort''.
I came across the phrase''Ba mhaith ab fhiú mo shaothar e'' but I would like it done with ''cheap mé'' or a similar expression. I am trying to say that I thought the awful ferry journey would be worth it once I arrived on land. I am just wondering how to express it in the most natural way.
Thank you in advance

Let me try to answer - although Labhrás will give you more sense.

Do cheapas gurbh fhiú é a dhua dh'fháil

You say you prefer ceapaim, but is dó liom is good:

Ba dhó' liom gurbh fhiú é a dhua dh'fháil

Ba dhó' liom gurbh fhiú an saothar é

dó' = dóigh, but the gh is not pronounced as a slender g in Munster, so dó' is a better spelling.

Fáil +a dhua = to go to the trouble of it

You can get more creative:

Is é ba dhó liom ná gurbh fhiú é a dhua dh'fháil
Is é do cheapas ná go....
