How do you say the above??
I believe it's something like

Táim......cleachtadh mo chuid Gaeilge uaim

but obviously I'm missing something here.
Can anybody fill in the blank for me??

No blank but wrong order.

Tá uaim mo chuid Gaeilge a chleachtadh.

Another option:

Ba mhaith liom mo Ghaeilge a chleachtadh.

Mo chuid Gaeilge, right?

Now that you mention it, I have to admit I'm not sure. Is the "mo chuid" part necessary? It always seemed like more of a flourish to me.

At any rate, it certainly wouldn't be incorrect.

I've always learned it as necessary with (a) mass nouns (so this mo chuid Gaeilge, do chuid gruaige) and (b) inalienable count nouns in the plural (so 'mo chuid leabhra' but not 'mo chuid lámh', though it is used with all plurals in South Connemara).
