Hello! My name is Aidan,

I have been wanting to get a tattoo for quite some time now and have decided upon a phrase that I would like. Although, I have not been able to find a Gaelic translation. I am hoping someone on this forum could help me out!

The phrase is "Beauty in the struggle, Ugliness in the success"

Labhrás's translation is nice, but would you mind clarifying what you intend? I think that the connotation here could be important, as it sounds a bit like an insult out of context.

The quote itself basically means that struggle is what makes an individual, it shapes who you are and what you will be in the future. Without it, success is not as sweet and often taken for granted; Success without adversity generally won't last.
