Hello, so I started out learning and was doing really well about a year and a half ago and was really pleased with my progress, and then life happens, and I lost time and progress but I have not given up! Anyways I know learning will be an up and down thing anyways, so I was hoping I could get help with some basic translations and questions? On how I say/ ask things? This will help me both learn and use the language more regularly.

How do I ask say

I would like (as in requesting a thing) what are some basic phrases for requesting example in English we have

Maybe I please have? Can you hand/ get me?

I want

I would like

And

I need

How do I ask those of someone else? Do you need/hanypt ect?

And last feeling?

How can I express feelings can someone help me with some basic phrases

I am happy?

I am excited?

I am thankful

I appreciate it?

I am scared

I am nervous

I am anxious

I am upset?

I am hurt?

I don't feel safe?

And I need help?

Tá brón orm, I know this is a long list
Agus go raibh Maith agaiobh

I am happy Tá áthas orm. There's also "Tá mé sásta
I am excited Tá mé ag súil go mór leis.: This is more like "I'm looking forward to it." I'd say "Tá sceitimíní orm."
I am thankful Tá mé buíoch
I appreciate it Tá mé buíoch as
I am scared Tá eagla orm
I am nervous Tá faitíos orm This can also mean "I am scared," or even "I am shy."
I am anxious Tá imní orm
I am upset Tá brón orm This is "I'm sorry." for "I'm upset," I'd say something like "Tá mé buartha" or "Tá mé trina céile."
I am hurt Tá mé ag fulaingt I'd read this more as "I'm suffering." For "I'm hurt,," I'd say "Tá mé gortaithe
I don't feel safe Ní bhraitheann mé sábháilte
I need help Tá cabhair uaim[/quote]

These may be dialect differences.
