I'm trying to translate a placename and I'm drawing a blank. It's a road on the outskirts of Kilkenny called Bóthar an Tondais / Bohernatownish. Any ideas?

I can give you what it sounds like to me:
Bóthar an tSondais = the sonorous road
'sondas' is a type of sound, not unpleasant, but there all the same.
Perhaps there was a tradition of singing, or passing the time in conversation that could be heard, along that road. It sounds like it was a well used road...
'Tondais' could be a misspelling of 'tSondais'
The above is my own interpretation of what the name sounds like to me in Irish.
