Dear Community,

I have bought an old music box to gift to my wife (she is Irish-American and very much identifies with her Irish roots) on her birthday and I want to get it inscribed with the following phrase in Irish (SL):

"You are the moon, I am your sun".

I would be extremely grateful for help on this!

Many thanks in advance,

James

Thank you very much for that!. I've just been playing with it being:

"you are the moon AND I am your sun"

as seeing it written out, I'm thinking that a comma or semi-colon might not look so nice. Would you also be able to give a translation for that? I will use one or the other.

Thank you so much,

James

I prefer what Caoimhín gave you, to be honest (it's more natural for Irish, and I'd think that would be important for someone who is proud of her Irish roots), but if you really want "and" in there:

Tusa an ghealach is is mise do ghrian
