I need the phrase, "Family First" translated. So far i have found "Teaghlaigh An Chéad" to be most correct but would like to be sure. I know there are a few different words for family and want to make sure i have the correct word in the context. Thanks for your replies!

I already responded to your post in the Gaelic section of the forum, so see that response as to why what you have above doesn't work. I gave you a response in Gaelic there. For essentially the same thing in irish, you have several choices:

If you mean your immediate family:
An teaghlach ar dtús
An teaghlach i dtosach
The family first

If you mean your extended family/clan (Scottish Gaelic speakers do not necessarily make this distinction):
An muintir ar dtús
An muintir i dtosach
The family first

I commented in the other response as to why I added the definite article ("the"), but others here may have further thoughts on whether or not to do that.
