Does this make any sense?

"Anois is arís caithfaidh gach dalta a fhreastal ar léacht go fisiciúil".

I was trying to say "Now and again every student has to attend a lecture in person".

Anois is arís, caithfidh … (slender -thf-) … gach dalta freastal ar léacht … (no object, no "a")

Don’t know about the "in person" thing, perhaps: gach dalta é féin (féin)?

go pearsanta?; though it is kind of redundant.

Why not just keep it simple and go with "a bheith ann"? I don't think we have to go overboard with translating a concept that may only exist exactly like that in English only, you know?

Anois is aríst, is gá/caithfear chuile/gach dalta a bheith ann ag an léacht.

is gá do
caithfidh (not: caithfear. It is the dalta who must)

Why ann?
freastal ar léacht = a bheith i láthair ag léacht

I hadn't thought of using "i láthair" is the most apt suggestion I think.
