dia daoibh,

Is this ok...

"na ceannairí a fuair bás" ?

I know it might be a tad annoying I keep posting "simple" enough stuff, just I'm still at the stage of second guessing myself on pretty much all the stuff I write.

There’s "ní bhfuair" but "a fuair".

I think a bhfuair is OK here, no? I'll try to find a reference online.

An duine a bhfuair bás etc. no?

Edit:

According to this, both are OK.

"The night that he died," an oíche a fuair, a bhfuair, sé bás.

a fuair: direct relative clause
a bhfuair: indirect relative clause

an duine a fuair bás: direct relative (indirect relative clause is impossible here)
an oíche a bhfuair sé bás: indirect relative (a direct relative clause is possible, too: an oíche a fuair sé bás)

Thanks for clearing that up. I often get confused as to which is correct at times.

Na leabhair nár léigh mé ariamh iad  An Ghaeilge atá agam, tá sé agam de bharr mo chuid cainte, chomh maith leis an suíomh seo (agus an seana cheann freisin) :P

Ach chun na fírinne a rá, ba cheart dom níos mó Gaeilge a léamh, ábhair liteartha agus mar sin de...

tá cuma aisteach ar "an oíche a fuair sé bás", ar a laghad sa teangaidh scríofa.
