would it be wrong to translate some of my own writings, poetry, songs into irish?

im only of some irish heritage but idk i feel like it seems like they could be pretty either way but just dont want to offend people.

i was told that i have to be careful if i sing in irish cos to not offend people but i was only guessing that is about maybe rebel songs or political songs?

There's nothing wrong with translating them, but you'll probably find it a lot more difficult than you might think. Irish syntax and idiom are so very different from English, translation of poetry and song lyrics can often be very complicated.

I don't know who told you to be careful about singing in Irish. There's nothing about most traditional Irish songs that anyone would find offensive.
