I am from Newfoundland, but some of my ancestors are from Ireland. I absolutely love the Irish language, and I am looking to get a tattoo in Irish. I have been having some trouble finding a proper translation, so I am hoping someone may be able to help me here!

The translation I am looking for is " Be gentle. ", as a mother may warn her daughter when she is holding a new born baby. I am not sure if there is a direct translation, but if anyone could let me know what would be close, and its pronunciation, it would be hugely appreciated.

That's pretty literal, though. It's possible that this may be better:

Bí cúramach

The usual translation of that would be "Be careful," but it's "careful" in the sense of "attentive."
