dia daoibh aríst. I'm just trying to write some simple bits and pieces here and there as I've normally neglected the writing aspect of my journey to learn an Ghaeilge. So i'm a little unsure of myself when it comes to the auld scríobh. I'm afraid Im falling into the trap of translating things very literally. How is this?

An rud deireanach go dteastaíonn uait a dhéanamh ná béile báile a chócaireacht.
