The air in Irish - Fáinne Geal an Lae - has nothing to do with Raghlan Road. The tune of Fáinne Geal an Lae was applied to Patrick Kavangh's poem, Raghlan Road by the Dubliners.

Fáinne Geal an Lae was originally a macaronic song, i.e. containing both Irish and English, and is about the courtship of a girl.

Raglan Road = Bóthar Raglan
Raglan (Welsh: Rhaglan) is a village in Monmouthshire.
The road was named for FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan.

To get the ball rolling (very rough- doesn't make a whole lot of sense), just to let you know its probably not going to fit into the same tune as the English once its directly translated!

Standard Irish:

On Raglan Road of an autumn day Ar bhóthar Raglan, ar lá Fómhair,
I saw her first and knew Chonaic mé í ar dtús agus bhí fhios agam,
That her dark hair would weave a snare go sníomhfadh a cuid gruaige duibhe inneall (dom)
That I might one day rue (agus) go mbeadh cathú orm lá éigin
I saw the danger and I passed chonaic mé an baol ach fós ghabh mé thairis
Along the enchanted way ar feadh na slí draíochtúla (changeable, dep. on your def. of enchanted)
And I said let grief be a fallen leaf Agus dúirt mé, lig don dhobrón bheith ina dhuilleog leagaithe
At the dawning of the day Ar fáínne geal an lae
