Hi everybody

I am looking to get a tattoo done to honour my mother after she passed, she was really fond of the saying dance like nobody is watching and we always had a running joke that she would say it and then I would turn it round and say that "I dance like everybody is watching"

I appreciate that this will probably not a have a direct translation but if anybody could help me with a phrase that sums up the sentiment behind it I would be very grateful.

Tá mé ag damhsa (ar nós) mar a bheadh gach duine ag féachaint air / orm

... air = watching it (= the dancing)
or, perhaps better:
... orm = watching me.

To shorten it a bit you can used the joined verb and pronoun -

Damhsaím amhail is go bhfuil chuile dhuine ag féachaint.

"Like" really means "as if".
