I am in need of help. I have 2 phrases that I'd like to have tattooed but I want the correct spelling of each.

1. From this day forward
2. My eyes adored you

For the first one, I suggest - Ón lá seo amach - don't forget the accents or fadas as they're known and wait for confirmation from the others.

For the second one - this is my attempt at it, but it would be better to wait for the others to see what they come up with.

Bhí breá le mo dhá shúil thú.

Franc's first suggestion is fine Ón lá seo amach.

His second needs some work. (respectfully! ) "My eyes adored you". Can you explain a bit more by what you mean by that? Do you mean it as a simple literal statement of fact, or is there another meaning behind it/context?

you can't say that. You'd rather say "Ba bhreá le mo dhá shúil thú", if you want to keep this word-order.

Even then, I wouldn't say it makes sense in Irish, a direct translation is not going to work in my opinion.

If you need to use eyes,

maybe something like:

Briseann an geann amach trím' shúile dhuit 'my love for you breaks out through my eyes'

Extending on franc's idea, perhaps:

Ba chuid mo dhá shúl thú. "You were all my eyes saw."

or

Ba ghean mo dhá shúl thú. "You were the love of my eyes."

(These are in the past tense because you requested "My eyes adored you." If you want "My eyes adore you.", the translations will need to be changed.)
