Dia daoibh, a chairde. Is mise Jim. Tá mé ag déanamh staidéir ar an teanga le hocht mbliana anuas. Níl mé liofa, ach ba mhaith liom a bheith liofa. Úsáidim Buntús Cainte agus Progress in Irish. Éistim le Nuacht Mhall agus roinnt físeáin i YouTube; "What the Focal" as Ciara Ní É, mar shampla. D’fhreastal mé ar scoil d’fhoghlaimeoirí fásta i gColáiste na Rinne i bPort Láirge ar feadh seachtaine cúpla uair.

Hello, my friends. I'm Jim. I have been studying the language for the past eight years. I'm not fluent, but I want to be fluent. I use Buntús Cainte and Progress in Irish. I listen to Nuacht Mhall (News in Irish Read Slowly) and some YouTube videos; "What the Focal" from Ciara Ní É, for example. I attended a school for adult learners at Coláiste na Rinne in Waterford for a week a few times.

Dia duit!
I just started to learn Irish, and now I am wondering if this forum is broken. I am sure I posted something already, and now it shows me 0 own posts. Hmm ...

No the forum is not broken and it is still live. The moderator only visits occasionally and so we are in a spamming phase.

Thank you for answering, djwebb2021!
I understand, we are having a long spamming phase.
Does this mean that my posts are deleted automatically? Normally hey should not.

Thanks for any clarification.

Dia dhaoibh. Is mise Clodagh. Tá mé i mo gconaí i Oileán Mhanann ach tá mé as An tInbhear Mór. Ba mhaith liom mo chuid Gaelige a fheabhsú. Tá sé níos briste nó cliste - Is fearr Gaeilge briste nó Bearla cliste :) Is mar sin a usáid mé coupla focal Gaelige le mo chuid Bearla go minic. Tá mé beagnach críochnaithe Duolingo agus beidh mé ag tosú Conradh na Gaeilge i mí Lúnasa (ceapaim).

Haigh,

Is mise Seán, as Sasana (Liverpool), i mo chónaí i gConamara. Níl mé ag déanamh staidéir (ar an nGaeilge) go foirmiúil faoi láthair, ach déanaim rud beag gach maidin, as mo stuaim féin.

B'fhéidir go mbeidh cúpla ceist agam, ó am go ham, bainteach leis an ngramadach, sanasaíocht, agus araile...

Scríobh mé dán as Gaeilge cúpla bliain ó shin, a taispeánadh ag féile áitiúil; sméar mhullaigh de mo chliúsaíocht leis an teanga, is dócha.

Seán

Dia dhaoibh, is mise Maidhc. Is Corcaíoch mé, agus tá suim agam i stair na Gaeilge, go háirithe i gcanúint Oirthear Chorcaí.

D’fhoghlaimíos mo chuid Gaelainn sa scoil agus (ar feadh bliain amháin) in ollscoil, ach dheineas dearmad ar an chuid is mó ó shin. Ba mhaith liom an teanga a fhoghlaim arís, agus go háirithe a bheith in ann canúint na Mumhan a labhairt.

Fáilte anseo, a Mhaidhc.

Agus ná lig an turscar dá mhéad :bash: tú a chosc ó scríobh. ;)
