How would I say something like 'It takes ten minutes to get there from here'? Looking up the words 'it takes' on teanglann, all I could find were more idiomatic usages that didn't partain to this specific usage. After all this time spent studying it still amazes me how many simple phrases there are that I can't make clear in Irish!

Cases like this (when I can’t final anything on teanglann) are the only time where I’d look up foclóir and then try find an entry in teanglann - but if you ever do this and can’t fine anything in teanglann that asserts an entry in foclóir, please be cautious as there’s a lot of béarlachas there.

But long story short I think you’d want to use tóg here - thógfach/tógann sé 10 neómataí.
