I cannot seem to locate a place to create a signature in my control panel. Is this a "newly registered user" thing, or am I just not seeing it?

I have it under User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Signature.

It might be that the Powers that Be have to manually allow it for new users, to prevent spambot signatures.

My translations are usually GU (Ulster Irish), unless CO (Standard Orthography) is requested.

GRMA, a Kokoshneta, I suspected as much. I do not have that option, which confirms it.

After 10 posts you should be able to do it then.
Or Breandán might bump you up before then.

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

GRMA, a Bhríd! I wouldn't be bothering Breandán for something as trivial as a "corrections welcome" statement just for want of a bit of patience. I can surely wait 10 posts. Good to know how many, though. GRMA, arís.

I e-mailed Aislingeach about it about it earlier today. As Bríd says, PMs and signatures are automatically disabled to prevent spam for the first 10 posts. I'll bump old members of IGTF through the trial period of they let me know who they are.

Aislingeach, if you can type your old user name into your profile page I can let you through.

GRMA, a chara! I didn't check my e-mail. Shamefully, because I work in an e-mail unit, I tend to neglect my personal e-mail. I have updated my profile with my old user name, as per your request. Agus go raibh míle maith agut!

Done. :good:

Sorry for the hiccup. We've had a steady stream of spam from day one - probably all the links from the old site.
