I'm working on deleting this onslaught of spam but it will take a while. I have asked Brendan if there is a way to mass delete, and if he can set it up so we can decide who participates in the forum rather than have an automatic joining process.

Can you delete members who post spam and not just individual posts?

Yes, I've been doing that but it takes forever. I also wish we could do mass deletions of bad posts. And "new members" need to be screened before they post. But Brendan seems to be overwhelmed right now so I am still waiting on a response. Looking forward to cleaning up this mess.

I've caught up with the bulk of the deletion and I've changed the settings for new members so that I can screen them as they enter.

Unfortunately, the bots and spammers are using AI to formulate coherent answers to the security question and it is getting harder to tell the difference. So a small amount of spamming is still going to occur.

If you see a post that is clearly spam, please report it by clicking the "!" button at the bottom of the post.

I've also updated my email address so that notifications come throught to my phone instead of my computer, as previously was the case.
