Hi all! Looking for a translation of "In The Next Life.." to SG, or any similar short phrases you think may be nice for a memorial, if you have any suggestions :) The 1yr anniversary of my father's passing is coming up, and he was very proud to be Irish and I would like to honour that. Thank you in advance!!

SG = Sean-Ghaeilge / Old Irish or Scottish Gaelic?

In the first case:

issind al(l)tur
(in the next world, in the hereafter)

airmitnech issin chentur
logmar issind altur

(respected in this world,
precious in the next world)

in the second case:

Modern CO and Old Irish are quite different. There are 1000 years between.

Old Irish: issind alltur = CO: san alltar – though I doubt "alltar" is much used now,
rather: sa saol eile, sa saol úd eile (or sa tír thall or sa tsíoraíocht )
