I really like how simple and straightforward this "Good news translation" of Deut 8:16

"In the desert he gave you mana to eat, food that your ancestors had never eaten. He sent hardships on you to test you so that in the end he could bless you with good things"

Could somebody translate this into Irish for me (bonus points for also providing a literal translation of your Irish translation)? All the Irish translations of this passage that I find online seem to based on a more wordy translation, such as the Douay version.

I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks a ton
