Is there much difference between méid and oiread, especially when used to mean 'as much'?

Like, would "a oiread is sin" be equivalent to "an méid sin"? I asked because someone asked about translating "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them as much", and I originally thought "oiread" or "méid", but then came to realize I don't know the intricacies of using them, and would prefer not to use them. But now I'm curious, and would appreciate if anyone can elaborate. I think I'm getting closer and closer to buying that corpus of Connemara Irish from the 1960s (Caint Chonamara) and just mining it for information. Sadly, it seems I have to mail a check to Germany to get it. Might send an email about that.


Also, I ended up translating the phrase as "Bí ag maitheamh do do chuid naimhde i gcónaí; níl aon rud eile chomh ciapach sin acu".


I'm not sure why but I liked "Bí ag maitheamh do" more than "Maith do". Just flows better, imo. Also, I went with "acu" at the end based on samples from Learning Irish like "Tá sé go deas ag Cáit a dhul ansin" and "Tá sé éasca ag Cáit a ghoil ansin". Just seemed like "ag" would fit better than "do". Please correct me if I'm wrong or if you disagree.
