Cumann Luthchleas Gael (C.L.G.) = Gaelic Athletic Association (G.A.A.)

Uaireanta, feictear CLCG in ionad CLG. An bhfuil a fhios ag éinne cén fáth? Is it just that the Luthchleas is being split into two words or is it something else and why would it differ anyway? :S

I don't know; your guess seems reasonable.

I've never seen CLCG but I agree that your guess seems reasonable, especially given that lúthchleas is broken into two words on the GAA crest.

I googled CLCG. Here is a sample of what I found.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/CLCG-Cill ... 1342904748

There are plenty more. It is very strange as I never noticed it before and always heard that C.L.G. was the Irish for G.A.A.
