conas tá' as always thanks for the help on my last question, just a quick pronunciation one, would "doimhneacht" roughly be div-nyacht ? also if i wanted to ask the depth of something, say a pool, could i say "cén doimhneacht atá ann?"

sounds right but I think the usual question would be "cá dhoimhne atá sé?"

Doimhneacht - 'die-nakht' (very roughly - particularly that 'd' sound at the start).

Seems to be, though I would pronounce it with more of a "u" sound - of course, this may just be the ambiguity of phonetics die-nukht

Sure, btw, pronouncing -ach or -acht with a real ah-sound in an unstressed syllable, only exists in Ulster. Elsewhere the -a- is pronounced as a neutral vowel ("uh").
