A friend asked me to translate this:
Serving with pride
(meaning in the military)
And as it's for a tattoo I want to make sure I got it correct.
My friend suggested: ar seirbhís le bród
Would that work?
I suggested:
Ag seirbheáil airm go bródiúil
Ag freastal go bródiúil
Ag freastal le bród
Ag déanamh mo chuid seirbhís airm go bródiúil.
Which one is better, or does anybody have a better one?
Thanks.
Dictionaries suggest esp.
"seirbhís airm a dhéanamh" for serving in the army.
So I don't know if freastal or seirbheáil is used in this sense, too.
Because of that I'd use your friend's suggestion
ar/i seirbhís (airm) le bród,
